 -Project management basics; tools to conduct a literature review such as websites to search articles and software to organize a bibliography; writing a. 

-Visits of research institutes, enterprises or technical platforms. 

-Protecting and commercializing an invention: patents, startups. 

Basic knowledge and skills in microbiology. 

The objective of this module is to introduce the students to some essential skills needed to manage a research project, such as writing a literature review or the basics of project management. Furthermore, an introduction to protecting and commercializing scientific results will be provided. Finally, students will be offered the opportunity to visit technical platforms of industrial or academic research and innovation centers

Performing literature research using appropriate databases. 

Summarizing research articles, reviewing and putting them into the context of current scientific questions. 

 Citing scientific papers correctly, following defined formats. 

 Critically discussing scientific studies and presenting them orally in English. 

 Identifying appropriate approaches for protecting and commercializing research results.
